Portare Collection
Comprised of 8 original, circular pieces, Toni’s beautiful new collection entitled ‘Portare’ is the most personal and meaningful collection of artworks yet. ‘Portare’ perfectly encapsulates the significance of transporting, carrying and developing, and also represents the deeper meaning of new beginnings and journeys which we may experience in our lives. Toni said “As an artist, my practice has often worked parallel with what is happening in my life at the time. I can honestly say I have never felt as inspired as I have when creating this series of original artworks”.
Developed through Toni’s personal journey into motherhood, ‘Portare’ is grounded within this notion of infinite, limitless love which inspired Toni to create this beautiful collection. Toni reflected “My personal inspiration for the new collection is my new journey into motherhood and how it feels to carry my beautiful son. However, the pieces may resonate differently with you. It’s all about finding your own story within the artwork”. This notion of infinity is reflected within the composition of the Artwork, especially within the artworks circular shape, representing a never-ending, ever-evolving journey of development and growth. Similarly, the collection is comprised of 8 pieces, a number which symbolises infinity. Each artwork has a different hidden quote, embedded within the many layers within each original piece, embodying the inspiration of each piece. The pieces truly speak for themselves and tell a beautiful story.
Despite being a relatively new method of working for Toni in terms of the artworks unique shape, style and structure, everything just seemed to fall into place once inspiration struck. Each piece within this collection holds an incredibly special meaning which could resonate in so many different ways for you and for each viewer of the pieces.
Each piece offers an intimate meaning which can be tailored to your own journey. Sweetest consists of layered abstract brush strokes, as taupe, white and coffee tones swirl and build around the board.
